Karen van den Berg has held the chair of art theory and curatorial practice at Zeppelin University since 2003 and has been academic director of its artsprogram since 2006. Teaching and research have taken her to the Chinati Foundation in Texas, the University of Witten/Herdecke, Stanford University and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, among others. She has worked as a curator since 1988. Her research focuses on art, politics and activism; the theory and history of exhibiting; studio research and museum architecture.
